Venice really doesn't need introduction. The Serenissima has been a "must see" destination for centuries. Just the name Venezia is enough to imagine, gondoliers in striped jerseys, the Rialto and the Bridge of Sighs, golden barges, masked balls and crumbling palaces facing streets made of water.
Venice has plenty events to offer.The most significant are definitely The Venice Carnival, which is a wild, colorful and enjoyable festival of masks.
